For Gyllyngvase SLSC members to enter the Welsh Stillwater Lifesaving Championships 2024 Location: Wales National Pool, Swansea Date : Saturday 27 & Sunday 28 January 2024 Age Groups: Youth 13 (born in 2011) Youth U15 (born in 2009/2010) Youth U17 (born in 2007/2008) Open (born in 2006 or earlier) Masters 30+ (in 5 year age bands) The following individual events will be contested: 50m Manikin Carry (13, 15,17, Open & Masters age groups) 100m Manikin Carry with fins (13, 15,17, Open & Masters age groups) 100m Manikin Tow with Fins (13, 15,17, Open & Masters age groups) 100m Rescue Medley (15, 17, Open & Masters age groups) Super Lifesaver (17 and Open only) Those born is 2007 & 2008 are permitted to enter both the Youth 17 age group race and also the same race in the Open category. Gyllyngvase SLSC Endless Summer Swim 2023

The Endless Summer Swim is coming to Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth on Sunday 1 October 2023. There are a number of different distances and age-groups available in what is one of Cornwall’s highest rated swim events. Age Group Event, Distance and Start Times. (age categories are based on your age as at 31 December 2023) Open 18 to 29, Masters 30 to 49 & Masters 50+ 1500m - 10:00 Open 18 to 29, Masters 30 to 49 & Masters 50+ 800m - 11:00 Youth aged 14 to 17 800m - 11:15 Nippers aged 12 & 13 800m - 11:30 Nippers aged 10 & 11 600m - 12:00 Nippers aged 8 & 9 300m - 12:30 All pre-entries are guaranteed an Endless Summer Swim designed T-Shirt (select required size at checkout) and for only £20 entry fee it remains exceptional value for money. You must enter by Friday 15 September at 18:00 to guarantee T-shirt. Online entries close Friday 22 September at 18:00 but entries on the day are accepted on the day up to 30 minutes prior to race start, (t-shirt for entries received after Friday 15 September subject to availability).

Past Present Future 2023

We are delighted to run for the 3rd year the 'Past Present Future' Gylly club event. Past Present Future is a fun team competition with a difference! Teams will be made up of Gylly club members from across the age groups. Events will include fun beach events and multiple different style board relays and possibly more! You will have to come along to find out!!! The event is aiming to bring the whole club together for fun on the beach and in the water! Social lunch planned on the beach at the end of the event. Free entry but please sign up by Monday 5 June to help us prepare teams!!

There are a number of different distances and age-groups available in what is one of Cornwall’s highest rated swim events. Age Group Event, Distance and Start Times. We are delighted to run for the 2nd year the 'Past Present Future' Gylly club event. Past Present Future is a fun team competition with a difference! Teams will be made up of Gylly club members from across the age groups. Events will include fun beach events and multiple different style board relays and possibly more! You will have to come along to find out!!! The event is aiming to bring the whole club together for fun on the beach and in the water! Social lunch planned on the beach at the end of the event. SLSGB Open Pool Lifesaving Carnival 2021 Location: K2 - Crawley Date : Saturday 30 October & Sunday 31 October 2021 Eligibility: Open Men and Women: who will reach the age of at least 16 in the year of competition Exceptionally, those youth athletes who will not have reached the age of 16 in 2021 but will be eligible for GBR Team Selection in 2022 for the World Championships will be able to enter. Entries will be accepted to compete in the Open category (No Youth Specific events). Times will be recorded that may be considered by Selectors (The GBR Youth Team age eligibility is for those who reach age 15, 16, 17 or 18 by 31 December 2022. Gyllyngvase SLSC are delighted to invite competitors and clubs to Gyllyngvase Beach, Falmouth for a one day SLS competition of individual ocean events and a team taplin on Saturday 4 September 2021. Registration: 08:00 Briefing: 08:30 (first race starts after briefing) Event categories will be as follows: Junior (M/F): competitors born in 2008 Youth (M/F): competitors born in 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004 Open (M/F): competitors born in 2003 and earlier The draft format will be: Saturday AM: Heats (seeded): Swim, Board and Ski* Saturday PM: Finals: Swim, Board, Ski, Iron** and Taplin * this event will not be run for the junior category. ** this event will be a swim/board for the junior category. For those competitors born in 2007 only who do not enter the individual ski race you will automatically be included in the swim/board event and not the Youth Iron race. The number of finals and number of competitors per final will be determined once entries have been received. It is our intention that everyone will participate in a final.
